Provence (3): Dupont anticipantes the Mont Ventoux

The third stage at the Tour de la Provence (15/02, 2.1) connected Istres with Chalet Reynard, on the Mont Ventoux, in 140 kilometer. Timothy Dupont chose for an early breakaway with Remi Cavagna. The duo was joined by three others after the first race hour. The Circus-Wanty Gobert-Tormans rider was caught at the foot of the Mont Ventoux, with his teammates trying to follow the bunch as long as possible. Nairo Quintana won the stage with a big advantage and took over the race lead. Fabien Doubey was the first yellow-blue rider to cross the finish line in 35th place.
