Plouay : Vliegen not caught by surprise

The Bretagne Classic (1.WT, 1/09) offered a rugged course, suited for attacks. The crossing of ribins, non-asphalted paths, with 60 kilometer to go, caused a decisive moment in the race. 34 riders, with Loïc Vliegen, took the command of the race. The Belgian rider from Wanty-Gobert accompanied the favorites until the final, to finish in 16th position, just ahead of the previous winner of the French World Tour classic, Oliver Naesen.
