Dauphiné (4) : Satisfying ITT

Dauphiné (4) : Satisfying ITT

Wanty-Groupe Gobert closed the individual time trial in Critérium du Dauphiné (2.WT, 04-11/06) with satisfaction. Between La-Tour-du-Pain and Bourgouin-Jallieu our team had to complete 23.4 time trial kilometers with two short climbs. Thomas Degand and Guillaume Martin stay in the top 50 of the GC before the crucial mountain stages. Hilaire Van der Schueren analyses the stage.

Hilaire Van der Schueren :

"I notice an improvement in the time trials, even if it still is our weakness. We are still waiting for the new time trial bikes, but we have been able to reduce the damage. I did not expect such a good beginning of Dauphiné. Yesterday we were close to a stage victory and today's progress is positive. We integrate the top 100 of the time trial. The real Dauphiné has yet to start. We are well-placed at less than 3:30 of the yellow jersey. The decisive days are coming! "
