Britain (1) : Vallée and Trondsen take places of honour

The first stage in the Tour of Britain (2.HC, 7-14/09) started in Glasgow, in Scotland. The 201.5 kilometer on the programme towards Kirkcudbright inspired four men to escape. The peloton caught the breakaway just before the arch of the last 5 kilometer, before the sprint trains took their position. Dylan Groenewegen was the fastest, with Boris Vallée (6th) and our Norwegian trainee Trond Trondsen (7th) taking places of honour. A new stage suited for sprinters, 165.9 kilometers around Kelso, is scheduled on the programme this Sunday.
