Bessèges - Vliegen tries

Loic Vliegen tried to avoid the bunch sprint in the third stage of Étoile de Bessèges (2.1, 07-10/02). At 3 kilometers from the line he accelerated with Maxime Monfort, but he was caught under la flamme rouge. The bunch sprint was inevitable. Marc Sarreau was the fastest in Bessèges. Aimé De Gendt was the first Wanty-Gobert rider as 28th finisher. On Sunday, around Alès, the final individual time trial will take place. 10.7km long with the difficult finish on the Ermitage.
