On Monday Wanty-Groupe Gobert heads to Germany for Rund um den Finanzplatz Eschborn - Frankfurt (1.WT, 01/05). For race sports director Jean-Marc Rossignon counts on Simone Antonini, Frederik Backaert, Jérôme Baugnies, Kenny Dehaes, Tom Devriendt, Guillaume Levarlet, Pieter Vanspeybrouck and Kevin Van Melsen.
"Frankfurt is part of the WorldTour this year. Despite competition in Tour de Romandie that should mean an elevation of the level of participants with Kittel, Sagan and Greipel announced on the start list. The first part of the race is quite hilly while the second is more flat. If the race explodes from the start we could have a group of 40 riders sprinting for victory at the finish."
"We have to be part of the breakaway for sure. As a final result top 10 would be great. If Dehaes can survive the hills in the first part of the race that should be possible. We still need to discover the form of riders returning after the classics (Backaert, Vanspeybrouck) and those returning from injury (Antonini, Levarlet, Van Melsen, Devriendt). But despite that Baugnies, Backaert and Levarlet should be able to show something on Monday."
