Loïc Vliegen:

« I'm happy to continue the adventure with Circus-Wanty Gobert-Tormans. After my time with BMC, during which I didn't often have the opportunity to play my own cards, I was able to grow in this team. I want to keep improving myself in this leader role, hoping to achieve as much good results as possible for the team. »

« I feel really well since the restart of the competition, I've shown it again this week at the Tour de Wallonie. I'm confident that I will be rewarded with results soon. I want to keep this good form as long as possible, and shine in the classics like the Amstel Gold Race, the Brabantse Pijl, Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the Tour of Flanders. My fous will remain on those classics the coming years. »

Jean-François Bourlart (General Manager):

« Despite a complicated period for everyone due to the Covid-19 crisis, we continued working to ensure the financial and sportive future of our team Circus-Wanty Gobert-Tormans. Thanks to the restart of the competition, we were able to accelerate the negociations and to start concretizing our selection of riders for the next years, with a priority for the extension of our current squad, because we cannot only take into account the performances of 2020. »

« Loïc is a key element of our effective. He learned a lot during the beginning of his career in the World Tour, and reached a higher level with our colors. Loïc has found his place in the team, and showed with his victory at last year’s Tour de Wallonie, but also with his performances at the classics since the restart, that he took a new dimension. I’m convinced that he will continue his nice performances for Circus-Wanty Gobert-Tormans. »
