Ghent-Wevelgem: Top 20 for Pasqualon

The 82nd edition of Ghent-Wevelgem (1.WT, 11/10) was won by a Danish rider. The peloton left City of Peace Ypres at 10h from the port of Menen for war in Flanders Fields. A breakaway of nine riders crossed the open fields in the moeren, before reaching the West Flemish hill zone. Eighteen riders survived the eleven hills with the Kemmelberg and the muddy plugstreets. The eighteen riders rode straight to Wevelgem, where Mads Pedersen took the win after 232.5 kilometer. Andrea Pasqualon was only defeated by Kristoff in the peloton sprint and concluded the top 20.
